The 2007 Lemberger is our twelfth vintage and its popularity continues to grow steadily.
Lemberger is a hard to find red varietal that has found a home in Washington State.
It is of Austrian origin and produces a medium-bodied red wine.
We source this varietal from Carter Vineyard, located near Prosser, Washington, in the lower Yakima Valley.
We are starting to see additional depth in the wine as the vines grow older.
The brilliant reddish-purple color is quite striking in the glass.
The wine exhibits flavors of plums, cherries and raspberries with good extraction.
It is very drinkable with a wide variety of foods.
Family favorites include baby-back ribs, grilled meats or vegetables, pasta dishes, or anything spicy.
*Available only at the winery / website. |
